As 2024 comes to an end, things are not just getting colder here in Hamburg but also wonderfully festive! It’s the perfect time to look back at a fantastic year we’ve had together. From the Elbe to the world – thanks to you, we’ve launched exciting projects and made them a success.

Pimcore Inspire is the go-to event for agencies, developers and partners. This year, Metaways was on site in Zell am See, Austria, as a sponsor and partner.

On the 19th and 20th of March, our colleagues Christian Baumann and Cornelius Weiss will be attending Pimcore Inspire 2024 in Zell am See, Austria. They will be showcasing our Platform-as-a-Service solution for Pimcore.

Our managed Kubernetes offers you and your agency partner the hosting of powerful frontends through Kubernetes clusters managed and orchestrated by us in the Amazon Web Services cloud. Our Kubernetes clusters are equipped with everything you need for your application deployment.

This is where we usually look back on the year with more or less lighthearted texts and talk about what’s been going on at Metaways. This year, we want to get a little “political” for once, because it concerns us.

Based on our experience, we have custom-tailored flexible Pimcore PaaS offerings for numerous scenarios.

Our groupware tine (which offers so much more than just appointments and addresses) has published a new major release. Version 2023.11 is called “Ellie” and has many new features on board.

Metaways Infosystems GmbH has been named “‘Employer of the Future” by the Deutsche Innovationsinstitut für Nachhaltigkeit und Digitalisierung (DIND) (German Innovation Institute for Sustainability and Digitalisation). In a two-stage assessment process, the SME IT company from Hamburg was able to convince the institute’s experts of its steps towards becoming an innovative smart company and thus win another strong factor in the competition for skilled workers.

Metaways has relaunched its church software “ecclesias”. Not only does the website have a new look, but the software itself has also been relaunched and can now be booked by church congregations as Software as a Service.

On September 7, starting at 5:30 p.m., everything will revolve around Pimcore – the leading open source DXP – while enjoying cold drinks and snacks. Current hot topics, exchange of experiences, networking! Also joining us will be Cornelius Weiss, Head of Software Engineering at Metaways, who will talk about the great romance “Kubernetes kisses Pimcore” and share our experiences of the combination.

The Jenischpark in the west of Hamburg attracts not only walkers and nature lovers, but also runners like to use the green oasis extensively. This is how the Rotary Club came up with the idea of organizing an annual charity run in the park. This year, Metaways is participating as a sponsor.

Individually developed for customers, approved and now available as a SaaS product: the tine Tracker.

Every year Safer Internet Day comes around (only shortly after Groundhog Day). For us, secure Internet is daily business – both in hosting and in software engineering.

Comfortable warmth emanates from the servers, the LEDs of the switches blink cheerfully and the sound of the whirring fans blows gently through the corridors of the data center. All updates have been applied, monitoring shows no problems – the Metaways admin leans back and sings quietly to himself.

Pino is also called 2022.11 and is the latest version of our tine Business Edition. For the first time, Pino does not deliver packages any more, but instead it hands over a colourful bouquet of new functions.

The speed of page loading is of decisive importance, especially for websites in e-commerce. The optimisation of loading times is a complex undertaking because there are many possible levers that can also interfere with each other.
